Earth Day Impact Report 2022

elaine / Apr 20

Another year of dedicating ourselves to bringing clean water to those in need, and reducing our carbon footprint has gone by swimmingly. This marks the first full year since we launched carbon neutral shipping, which has brought our carbon footprint way down.

We strive for progress and our team is always keeping the Earth top of mind as we move forward. With that success comes our continued support and effort to reduce our carbon footprint for a better tomorrow.

Giving back to nonprofit organizations that help close the gap on access to safe drinking water, global health, or eliminating plastic from our lives and from our oceans is important to us because we want to take care of our Earth and the people living on it.

Since founding LARQ in 2018, our mission is to create stunning yet innovative products that help people access clean water easily and sustainably. It’s 2022 and it’s time to give up single-use bottled water for good. Startlingly, 1,000,000 plastic water bottles are purchased per minute — an obscene amount considering how accessible reusable water bottles are.

Our impact so far

LARQ is a proud member of 1% for the Planet, a network of business and nonprofit organizations that seek to give back and protect our planet by a number of means. Through 1% for the Planet, we’re able to support environmental and social causes that we are passionate about including bringing water to communities in need and aiding with improving global health.

In 2021, we were excited to announce that we’ve partnered with CarbonFund to introduce global carbon-neutral shipping and returns, which has already saved on carbon emissions and we don’t intend on stopping now.

Since being founded in 2018, we hit the ground running.

What’s next? We’re excited to share we are working with Well Aware to help drill a new well for the 4,500 people of Muruku, Kenya. Look out for updates this summer as the project breaks ground.

Our commitment is to you and the future of our planet. With these initiatives and more to come this year, we know we’re taking steps in the right direction. We hope this inspires you to make strides in your own life for a more sustainable future too.
